This project is focussing on your development as a dancer and performer.
Sara Farouk leads the project, along with Kay Taylor. Kay is organising and managing the project, she will be teaching a workshop and bringing her experience to help with your development. Sara will be teaching most of the workshops, bringing her in depth knowledge and unique style to develop your dance. Each teacher has a different approach which will give you lots of material to take away and use in your development.

To plan the week, we would like to know what you would like included in the project.
This way we can pitch the workshops to include elements you would find of most use.
We would like you to choose a piece of music to work with through the week which you will perform back to the group.

Kay and Sara both specialise in the Egyptian style so would prefer you to work with Egyptian music. You will need to send this in advance.

Maximum places: 15
Cost: £175
Non residential – 5 days of tuition, studio space and food / a cocktail Friday night are included.

£50 to reserve your place, the balance of £125 on the project.

Places to stay:
Travel Lodge – Sunderland Central is probably the nearest to both venues ….. but a bit noisy.
Premier Inn Sunderland City Centre is close too – and quiet. Currently £159.50 for a twin room for the 5 nights.
Travel Lodge – High Street West is nearer to the Arabesque restaurant than the studio….. but still not far.
