Description
Technique gives a strong base for fusion belly dance and its expression. As dancers with liberty to fuse we have a wide ground to play with “technique” and sometimes get lost in the whirlwind. This workshop will also explore elements from Odissi Indian dance and seamlessly fusing them with bellydance.
In this workshop we will focus on how technique can be shaped both as a bird’s eye view and a detailed view. This understanding helps one communicate visually a story/music/nothing better and build a connect with the viewer without explicitly expressing. To speak through technique, we will need to dissect it deep into its layers and that is what we would be doing in this workshop.
Specific technique will be taught, and we will focus on how it can be musically interpreted or applied to tell a story or just make it a part of your style
